Joining copper gas piping
Approved and listed for use with natural gas and propane and approved for hundreds of specially requested applications, more than any other press system, Viega ProPressG is available in more than 100 engineered fitting configurations that don’t require sweating, brazing, threading or grooving to make a reliable connection. In sizes ranging from 1/2” to 2”, Viega ProPressG is ideal for residential natural gas, propane and heating oil as well as other fuels and lubricating oils.
Joining carbon steel piping
MegaPressG is a well-engineered carbon steel fitting designed specifically for gas applications, suitable for use with Schedule 5 to Schedule 40 carbon steel pipe. With CSA LC4 approvals and compliance with the International Fuel Gas Code, Viega MegaPressG is designed to reduce labor and installation costs and make secure connections on carbon steel pipe with no manual tightening. Eliminate threading, welding and grooving in sizes up to 2”. With more than 200 fitting configurations, you don’t have to struggle to find the fitting you’re looking for.
HNBR Sealing Element
The HNBR (Hydrogenated Nitrile Butadiene Rubber) sealing element is well-suited for applications that include propane, diesel and fuel oil, as well as other various industrial gases. Viega press fittings with yellow Smart Connect dots indicate an HNBR sealing element. Its operating temperature is from -40ºF to 180ºF (-40ºC to 82ºC). It is specifically designed to meet the requirements of ANSI/CSA LC-4 for CSA approvals for distribution of fuel gas systems.
