ABOUT NILS ROERING
Nils Roering is the Manager of Research & Development for Viega North America, where he leads innovation across materials science, metallurgy, and product development. His work focuses on advancing plumbing technologies through research, engineering excellence, and continuous product innovation.
Nils earned both his Bachelor of Engineering in Applied Materials Science and his Master of Science in Metallurgy and Metal Forming from the University of Duisburg-Essen in Germany.
He joined Viega in 2011 as part of the German Research & Development team before relocating to the United States in 2022. In 2023, he was promoted to lead Research & Development for North America, where he oversees initiatives that support innovation and product performance across the business.
Beyond his work at Viega, Nils actively contributes to the advancement of industry standards through participation in professional organizations focused on materials engineering, corrosion protection, and water infrastructure.
